Rodney H. Lunn
President & Chief Executive Officer
Rodney Lunn, Founder & CEO, is considered by many as the original pioneer of the contemporary Ambulatory Surgery Center (ASC) concept. He transformed the traditional ASC into a practical, successful business model. As a founding member of AmSurg Corporation, he created one of the first companies solely dedicated to the development and management of surgery centers.
During his influential career within the healthcare industry, Rodney has served in numerous chief management roles for a broad range of healthcare companies. Rodney’s breadth of experience also includes Vice President of Finance and Chief Financial Officer for American Medical Centers (the owner and manager of acute care and psychiatric hospitals), Chief Financial Officer of INA (now Cigna) Healthplan of Texas and Vice President of HealthAmerica of Florida.
Executive Vice President & Chief Operating Officer
Ronnie Pennell has over 20 years of experience with healthcare and related industries. Since 2009, Ronnie has dedicated himself to the operations of ambulatory surgery centers. Starting his career with the Institutional Consulting Group at Dean Witter Reynolds in Brentwood, TN, Ronnie has done business with multi-billion dollar hospitals, public utilities and technology companies, as well as medical device and consumer product manufacturers. Working with some of the largest healthcare companies in the country, Ronnie’s professional background includes management buyouts, leveraged ESOP, corporate benefits programs and institutional investment management.
Ronnie’s experience and success in corporate finance and as business advisor has dovetailed perfectly in working with physicians and hospital executives across the country in establishing and executing a plan of action for maximum ROI. Through detailed planning, relationship building and community activity he has continuously been able to meet his client’s goals and objectives.
Teresa Hamrick, RN, BHA, CASC
Director of Clinical Operations
Teresa Hamrick has over twenty-five years of healthcare experience with the most current ten years focused primarily on regional outpatient management and development. Development management has included the startup of 17 multi-specialty facilities nationwide. Additional operational management experience for outpatient services have included: applications of electronic patient data systems, supporting staff with polices and compliance protocols, directing equipment and medical supply management, leading physician credentialing processes, human resource management, implementing and overseeing clinical outcomes compliance for State, Federal, and Joint Commission(and/or) AAAHC accreditation standards. Operational and development experiences have led to achieving and maintaining many state licensures, Medicare certification, and agency accreditations.
Shelly Lunn is part of the Sales and Revenue Cycle Management team at PhyBus. Her responsibilities are centered on business development and client satisfaction. Prior to moving into a sales role Shelly worked as an ASC Medical Billing Specialist. She knows and understands what goes in managing the revenue cycle and applies that knowledge to help ensure potential clients are educated on all services offered and the ways PhyBus is there to support their clients guaranteeing the best possible customer experience.
With a diverse background ranging from Affiliate Broker, Marketing Specialist, and Recruiter Shelly’s expertise lies in engaging decision makers and devising winning sales strategies and solutions. Shelly holds a degree from Belmont University.
